The newest technology in Sat Nav devices is providing lots of companies with information they previously could only dream about. Sat Navs and GPS tools of old could only let the driver know about their locations, which directions to take and speed etc. New newest devices however can relay this information to a computer anywhere in the world and this is very usually for business that has fleets of vehicle out on the road. A taxi company or travel business for instance would benefit enormously. Lets examine exactly what these tools can tell companies

Speeding. Operators can now see the speeds of the vehicle as well as the person driving. A number of the top devices even tell you if the vehicle is being accelerated or braked too hard. This helps companies establish who is driving well and within the law, and who maybe needs more driving training

Petrol. Stats released by Jump The Sun show that drivers, especially in the taxi trade, would claim petrol money from their employers for miles that were covered whilst not on work hours. The tachometer could always be looked at but this only showed the miles traveled and doesn't say when and where. However, as information such as mileage, time of travel, and exact route can be mapped, its very hard to get away with claiming more petrol money than needed. The latest traffic information can also be fed into them

Location. Drivers can get to a new location much faster and more efficiently when their locations are mapped by a central operator. Calls don't now have to put out to all drivers to discover their current position, the operator can simply check their computer and dispatch the vehicle which is closest.

The sales of cars has risen by a lot in January but is this because people are feeling the end of the recession or is something else at work?

The Reasons

The amount of sales have really gone up by a lot, 29.8% which of course is great news but remember how much of a state the world was in last year around this time. The recession has to be the cause of people not buying cars last year,it was not known what the recession would do so they were unprepared to spend money.

The car scrappage scheme has actually been extended even further to March and this is one of the big reasons people are spending money on cars. Basically this will allow motorists £2,000 to trade in an old care for a new one and the figures are that one in five car sales this January were made by this means.

The Christmas period is over and people will perhaps have a bit of extra money spare around the late January early February time and having a really nice car is just one of those luxuries you are going to have if you have a bit of spare money.

The Future?

When you look at the predictions for this year I have to say that it isn't looking good. 1.Although an expected 82 million cars are meant to be sold this year when you compare it to last year it will be 10% down. The last time that the sales of cars got this low was 1995.

The recession has officially come to an end (apparently) but people are not just going to recover overnight. The fact is that many people are spending their money on their homes now trying to fix them up because they haven't had the money in a long while.

Even bad credit car loans are going to be expensive. The best thing to do it look out for cheap car leasing and cheap van leasing.

These are just some of the best ways you can totally wreck a van. By no means is this article supposed to encourage this kind of behaviour it is only here as a joke and none of these are recommended unless you are a professional in crashing a van.

Why not Blow it Up

The ways in which you can blow up a van are almost endless which is why it is a great first point! The good old fashioned TNT has to be the best way to do something like this. The only place that any of this would be legal is under testing conditions in a television program or something like that. Other things that can be used include RPG, Shooting the gas tank or a grenade through the window.

Roll It Over

You actually need to be behind the wheel to be doing this which is why it is one of the most dangerous ways to wreck a van. There are many movies out there that have vehicles rolling over in them, vans are just one of them. The vans that you actually see roll over are made to do so and by no means should you try rolling a van yourself. If you were to roll over a normal van then whoever is driving is pretty much dead.

Why not drive into something

This of course is the most common way to wreck a van due to the fact that there are many van crashes across the world every single day.  Many people are killed because of this and although vans are designed to stop death in the event of a crash the design will not protect you in the event of a real crash. Best left to the professional test dummies.

So there you have it, just a few things you shouldn’t do with your contract hire vans. Commercial vehicle leasing and contract van leasing companies would not be interested in giving you cheaper deals if you are planning to do these things.

Of course you really shouldn’t attempt any of this because “You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"
