When it comes to the future and the way forward when it comes to main transportation a lot of people still believe in cars. Is this really the case or are there other things out there that the majority of people could use?

Monorail

This ideas is a bit old hat but it could still come into force in the near future if people wanted it still. Although it doesn't work out too well in The Simpsons it works very well indeed in DisneyWorld Florida and this is where I have ridden a Monorail. It is not really that different from a subway train apart from the fact is is above ground meaning you would not have to change much, you could build it above highways very easily indeed.

Teleportation

This one is even less likely than the previous options but the thing is, if the technology was invented I guarantee that almost everyone would use it. So many different companies would go out of business if this was brought into play which means it will not happen. This would be a great way to travel but would take years to test. What would happen to all of those car leasing deals

Flying Cars?

This one is not going to happen again because of all of the damage it may cause and crashes that would happen, airlines would also be out of business. Although it would be cool to drive a flying car like in Back to the Future, it is just not going to happen. Could you imagine the gap insurance costs on this!

In the end I think there are going to be more advancement on cars before we see anything too futuristic come into play and this is because the other options are unrealistic and expensive.

So there you have it, I think the range rover sport 3.0 TDV6 is going to carry on for a number of years.

Uprating a camshaft. The purpose of an engine camshaft is to regulate how much fuel and air enters the chambers of the engine and the amount of waste gases comes out of the exhaust. The lobes of the camshaft are designed in such a way to suit performance, fuel economy and emission regulations. It is possible though to put in a new camshaft that will impart more performance with better fuel economy to boot.

Modifications can be made on the lobes of the camshaft to let the valves open longer or higher to cause more fuel or gases out of the engine. This is called the cam profile. These profiles are usually designed on computers these days and with taking a laptop out of its laptop sleeves and plugging it to the vehicle allows that data can be found for the designs. Extra exhaust gases can be released by altering the profile of the camshaft too.

If your motorcar engine is one of the many popular types used for motor sport, you might find that there are many alternatives available for your car. Approaching tuning companies that specialize in a vehicle can provide you the best tips on the camshaft to use for your specific application. If you just drive your car on the road and are just after the extra boost of acceleration and overtaking, it will probably be improper to just install a rally style camshaft where you could loose all the drivability of the car has at lower speeds and only get power when you are driving flat out. You might find that regularly the camshafts are marked up for fast road, race, or rally for each intended use. The ratings will provide you some sort of estimate as to which one will be accurate for your application.

Fast road camshafts are usually made with a longer opening duration than initially fitted camshafts. Lots of the race and rally cams feature a higher lift as well. A number of further modifications might necessitate to be done too. The height of the springs that allow the valves to go up and down may have to be changed.

With the high lift cam, the coils could compress so far that they strike each other (known as spring binding), so keep in mind this further expense. The valve springs might have to be modified too with shorter ones being fitted to stop the valves hitting the pistons as they come together. You will have to remember that other mods may be required such as re-jetting the fueling system or re-mapping any ECU, a job for the taking the laptop out of the 17 inch laptop case again. Also the exhaust system might have to be modified to help remove the waste exhaust gasses. A lot of of the tuning firms might give good advice on which cams are best suited for your car.

When leasing or hiring a contract car, the associated risk is taken on completely by the car leasing company; in that you pay a fixed monthly rental for the term of the contract, regardless of what the vehicle may be worth at the end of the twenty four or thirty six month term. At times residual values of cars have been hit very hard and when this happens it is the finance company that suffers the loss, not the hirer.

The risk for a company increases when they decide to purchase their vehicles outright and have an overdraft with their bank instead of a leasing agreement. This is a higher risk situation for the company as they're now in the position where a bank can, at any point, demand full payment of the overdraft. If the years 2008 and 2009 have taught car leasing companies anything it is that you cannot depend on banks, not even to remain solvent themselves, let alone help their clients to remain solvent.

There are also additional costs involved if one opts for this type of funding; The vehicle has to eventually be sold, so there is the cost of advertising and more importantly a member of staff's time in placing advertisements, making sure the vehicle is prepared for sale and then showing it to prospective purchasers. Aston Martin BMW contract hire, for example, are relatively easily to sell second hand but some manufacturer's models are extremely difficult to get rid of. Sometimes companies have taken delivery of the new car and they are still struggling to sell the old vehicle.

In recent times, companies have begun to see the benefits of contract hiring their vehicles, allowing them to properly budget their motoring costs and to simply return the car at the end of the lease, rather than having to worry about selling it.
